As our state navigates the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the following is a list of resources that may be helpful to our stakeholders in recovery and support efforts. Our thoughts continue to be with those impacted. We will update this information as it becomes available. Moving People, Resources, or Equipment
If you plan to move people, resources, or equipment into western North Carolina, you MUST coordinate plans and movements through the NCEM-BEOC.
You can email your supply logistics or movement requests to: [email protected], make sure to begin your Subject Line with: Logistics Support.
Please include the following info:
· What are you moving? Why you need special access.
· When do you plan to move and from where?
· Where are you going?
· When will they arrive at the “border to Western NC” and where?

Boone Area Chamber of Commerce Watauga County is working to facilitate the work of the N.C. Department of Transportation to repair and open roads. View a map of current road closures in Watauga County.
The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is accepting donations at boonechamber.com/foundation to help with community and business relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene’s impact on the High Country.

Burke County Chamber
Burke County Hurricane Resources. More than 30 businesses were completely flooded and will need to rebuild from scratch. Many others experienced significant disruptions, including extended power outages that halted operations. While the impact on our businesses has been severe, we are thankful that there have been no casualties reported so far.
Avery County Chamber – Banner Elk, NC has communicated the greatest need will be 10 days from now, and they are going to need the below items. Their young professionals have set up a GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/f/build-back-avery

Brevard/Transylvania Chamber
Transylvania Tomorrow Emergency Support Grant Program. This initiative aims to provide critical relief to the Transylvania County community by establishing a way to collect funds that can be directly distributed to those in need.
