Dr. Roshnara Singh: A 31-Year Legacy in Women’s Health

Last Updated 6/11/2024Posted in News

After 31 years of service in women’s health, Dr. Roshnara Singh is bidding farewell to Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center. After completing her training at West Virginia University's Charleston Area Medical Center, Dr. Singh settled in Statesville to begin her practice at Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center. Serving as a founding shareholder of Piedmont HealthCare, Dr. Singh has remained a steadfast provider, guiding women through various stages of life—from childbirth to menopause, fertility management, and preventative care.

Dr. Singh’s commitment to the community is evident in both her professional and personal life. She raised her family in Statesville, balancing her career demands while fostering strong ties with the community she served. Reflecting on her experience, Dr. Singh remarked, “My work here has reinforced the belief that we all depend on each other and that working harmoniously with others brings rewards.” She expressed profound gratitude for her colleagues and support staff, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to patient care.

Reflecting on her long career, Dr. Singh expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to serve the community. “I am so fortunate to have been a physician in this community for 31 years. My first and only real job! Taking care of patients through the years has given me an understanding of life and its different stages. I am now beginning to see babies that I delivered as patients,” she shared. Her career has been marked by numerous instances where her expertise and quick thinking in OB traumas and emergencies have significantly impacted the quality of women’s health in the area.

As Dr. Singh transitions to a new chapter in her life, she has chosen to focus on serving women who are veterans, continuing her legacy of dedicated female healthcare.

Dr. Singh’s journey is a testament to her profound passion for improving women’s health and her lifelong dedication to patient care. Her legacy in Statesville is characterized by compassion, unwavering commitment, and a significant impact on the lives of the women she has served.

Dr. Singh's last day in the office is May 31st, 2024. For ongoing care, Dr. Mary Torres and Rebekah McCarthy, NP, are available to see patients at Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center. For more information, visit Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center.
