Statesville Welcomes Red Knights for Regional Dixie Rally
The Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) is thrilled to welcome the Red Knights as they host their Regional Dixie Rally from Wednesday, May 15 through Sunday, May 19, 2024. The Red Knights, comprising firefighters and their families from around the world, will gather in Statesville to enjoy the region's offerings and support local emergency service charities.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Statesville will serve as the host hotel, with additional accommodation secured at the nearby Ramada and Comfort Inn hotels, thanks to the collaborative efforts with the SCVB. "It has been an honor to work with the event organizers, and we are proud to host groups like the Red Knights, who make a substantial economic impact on our community," said Cindy Sutton, Executive Director of the SCVB.
Attendees will participate in daily rides to nearby attractions, including a special trip to Mt. Airy to experience the charm of Mayberry. Each evening, participants will return to Statesville to dine, shop, and discover the local culture. The highlight of the rally will be a banquet at the Statesville Civic Center on Friday evening.
The event has drawn over 350 attendees from across the country, contributing significantly to the local economy and raising awareness for motorcycle safety and community support for firefighters.
The Statesville community is excited to support and participate in this significant event, further enhancing our reputation as a welcoming host for regional gatherings and charitable activities. We remind the community to be mindful of the increased motorcycle activity in the area, always looking twice to save a life.
