"I attended ARS from 3rd to 8th grade and I'm deeply grateful for my parents initiative to send me there and the education I received. I believe that ARS was, and probably still is, a truly innovative school that offered opportunities I most certainly wouldn't have received in the public school system. On top of that, the dedication of the teachers there was second to none and many of their lessons have stuck with me after many years. These were the most formative years of my life when I developed the interests, thinking, and discipline that has served me through the rest of my schooling and my career. Since leaving North Carolina, I've been around the world to work and study, most recently working at a school in Vietnam for 3 years. I'm proud to now be working at a school in Charlotte with similar values to ARS." - George Marshall
