Events & Reminders

K-5 Open House: Monday, August 9th. 
Teacher assignments will be shared at Open House.  These lists will be posted in the front window of the building.
Times vary based on last name:

  • Last name A-H: 3:00pm-4:00pm
  • Last name I-P: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Last name Q-Z: 5:00-6:00pm

First Day of School for Students: Wednesday, August 11
Kindergarten parents may park and walk their children to class on the first day of school. Please wear a mask inside the building.
Please look for information from RAP regarding our BooHoo breakfast that morning.

*The first three days (Aug 11-13) are half days for Kindergarten students. They will dismiss at 11:30am.* Please use the carline only. 

CARLINE PROCEDURES:

  • Car tags and the PikMyKidd app are essential for ensuring that the process runs smoothly and quickly. 
  • Arrival/Drop-off: 
    7:30am-7:55am at the back door for car riders and the front door for walkers. All grade levels are able to use either door. Doors close at 7:55am and announcements/class begin at 8am. 
  • Dismissal/Pick-up: 
    2:45 - 3:15 for K-2 students
    3:00 - 3:15 for 3-5 students 
    Parents with kids in K-2 and 3-5 are asked to pick up all students in the 3:00-3:15pm time frame, as 3-5 graders do not end instructional time until 3pm.

Help Needed

The backpack program is gearing up for another successful school year. We are so fortunate to be 100% funded by our wonderful parents, community leaders, and volunteers. Thanks to all of those that donated last year to our backpack program. While you are collecting you school supplies, please consider getting some non-perishable food items for our backpack program. Below are the food needed to begin our distribution next month:

~Noodles

~Canned goods - including soups and meats

~Instant Oatmeal/ Grits packets

~Cereal packets/ Cereal Bars

~Fruit Snacks

~Individual wrapped snacks

~Juice boxes

~Fruit cups

We will have a box near Ms. Sandy's front desk for backpack program on Open House. Please drop off your donations so that we can begin to distribute food to students in need as soon as school begins. If you wish to make a monetary donation, please make your check or money order payable to American Renaissance School and indicate 'backpack program. We appreciate your help this school year! Thank you!
