Meet Stone, Animal Ambassador

Stone is a Crawl Cay Boa and is our biggest (and strongest) snake.  Crawl Cay Boas come from an island off the coast of Belize called Crawl Cay, hence their name.  The average Crawl Cay Boa reaches a length of about five feet and are known for their uniquely shaped heads and large eyes.  Stone is about 6 feet in length, has a beautifully shaped head, and is pure muscle!  

Boas like Stone are also known for their unique gray/brown coloring with black speckles going down their bodies.  Stone's pattern on the sides of his body looks similar to chocolate chip cookies.  While he prefers to spend his days lounging on the top of the features in his enclosure or basking under his heat lamp, he does like to get in touch with his wild side outdoors where he enjoys the natural sunlight in the summertime!

Stone is approximately 12 years old and has been a resident at Rescue Ranch since 2013.  You can catch a glimpse of him just inside the lobby, or up close if you choose to book a private tour with animal interactions.
