UPDATE: Culvert Replacement Project – Water Outage Scheduled for March 27

March 25, 2025

As part of the ongoing culvert replacement project along Sunningdale Lane, a water line relocation is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m. A contractor for the City of Statesville will be moving the water line to support the infrastructure improvements in the area.

This work will directly affect water service for residents in the impacted area. Water is expected to be out for approximately 8 to 9 hours, with service anticipated to be restored by 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.

All affected homeowners received notification of the scheduled outage earlier today. If there are any changes to the schedule, updates will be provided at least 24 hours in advance.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our infrastructure and minimize inconvenience.

For questions or concerns regarding the water service outage, please contact Eric Moten, Water and Sewer Superintendent, at 704-878-3417.

Culvert Replacement Project

The City of Statesville will begin a culvert replacement project on Monday, March 24, 2025. During this time, the road will be closed at the work zone, and traffic will need to use St. Andrews Road, Linville Street, and St. Cloud Drive for access to areas on the east side of the culvert crossing.

The project is expected to last through the end of April 2025. Please plan accordingly and use caution when traveling near the work zone.

For any questions, please contact Randall Moore with the City of Statesville Stormwater Division.
