City of Statesville Hosts Second Annual Canned Food Drive (February)
Just a few days left to donate to the Second Annual Canned Food Drive in celebration of Canned Food Month this February.
Building on the success of last year’s campaign, this initiative aims to support local food pantries and help families and individuals in need within the community.
Throughout February, residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable canned food items at convenient drop-off locations across the city.
Celebrating Black History Month (February)
Black History Month is a time to celebrate the remarkable contributions and achievements of Black individuals in our communities. Statesville, North Carolina, has a rich history, and it's important to recognize the trailblazers who have made significant impacts in the City.
Notable Firsts: Statesville's First Black Police Chief (2019)
David Addison's appointment as Statesville's first Black Police Chief in 2019 marked a significant step forward in law enforcement diversity. With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, his leadership was instrumental in maintaining safety and security in the community.

🔹Customer Service Representative 1 (Full-Time): This position is responsible for performing administrative and clerical work in support of the utilities billing, collections, and customer service functions.
🔹Planner II (Full-Time): This position is responsible for preparing and presenting technical data and reports for various boards; responsible for implementation/enforcement of land use regulations, plans, and policies; serves as administrative liaison to assigned boards and committees.
