Help Protect Our Waterways: Volunteer to mark Storm Drains in your Neighborhood

As reviewed in our podcast this week (Tuesday, January 134, 2025), the City of Statesville Stormwater Division is offering an exciting way for YOU to make a difference!

Join us in spreading the important message: 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝑹𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏!

Why Does It Matter?

  • Stormwater runoff from urban areas can: Increase flooding risks
  • Damage property and erode soil
  • Degrade water quality in our streams and rivers

By marking storm drains, you’re reminding everyone that these drains flow directly to our local waterways. No trash, chemicals, or pollutants—just rainwater!

Read more about how you can help today here.

Together, we can keep Statesville’s waterways clean and healthy for generations to come.
