Fire Contained in Downtown Statesville: No Injuries Reported


At approximately 10:40 AM today (December 19, 2024), the Statesville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 227 E. Front Street in Downtown Statesville. The building, less than 1,000 square feet in size, was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival, with fire visible through the roof.

Thanks to a swift and coordinated effort, firefighters brought the blaze under control within 27 minutes of dispatch. The Statesville Police Department, Iredell County EMS, and Central Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Additionally, Mooresville Fire Rescue 1, who were conducting training at Statesville Fire Station 2, joined the response.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
