Friday, February 9, 2024 is the voter registration and party change deadline for the March 5, 2024 Primary Election for County, State and Federal Seats. Note: There are no municipal elections this year.
You may register to vote in person at the Board of Elections office or at the DMV. You can also register online through the NCDMV website. See the attached link for more information on HOW TO REGISTER to VOTE. All new registrations and party changes must be received by the Board of Elections office by 5 pm on February 9, 2024. Registration forms and party changes should be mailed to Iredell County Board of Elections 203 Stockton St. Statesville, NC 28677. Call the Board of Elections at 704-878-3140 for further information.
PHOTO ID is required to vote in 2024.

How to Register
The voter registration deadline in North Carolina is 25 days before Election Day. This deadline is different for military and overseas citizens. Learn more at Voter Registration Deadlines.
Here are the voter registration deadlines for the 2024 elections in North Carolina:
- Feb. 9, 2024, for the primary election on March 5, 2024.
- Oct. 11, 2024, for the general election on Nov. 5, 2024.
