This positions primarily works remote.
JOB SUMMARY
Oversees and conducts the license agreement process, preparation, and approvals, ensuring accuracy within the applications. Works closely with other departments such as Commercial, Product Development, Supply Chain and Accounting. This position provides day-to-day Licensing and Sales support function. This position will act as a point of contact for outside sales representatives looking for strategic or tactical insight and coordinate activities and projects internally across business units and support existing partners to ensure revenue targets and growth objectives are met. Participates in special projects to support the company’s B2B brands and businesses. Works closely with the Manager of Licensed Sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure supporting sales goal setting, training, on boarding, troubleshooting order processing issues, customer requests, product information and sales-related information systems and procedures. This position will be responsible for maintaining positive relations with the external sales team as well as with internal teams. The role performs a variety of tasks in the areas of commercial and business development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes Other Duties as Required)
• Drives the day to day workflow of licensing by ensuring work is appropriately prioritized and completed
• Responsible for overseeing the license agreement process
• Manages and tracks license application submissions and communication with licensors when necessary
• Establishes and maintains relationships with licensors and responds to phone calls and emails within 24 hours
• Prepares and performs quality checks on data and image generation for licensed submissions
• Obtains all necessary approvals for licensors for all product concepts and pre-production samples and resolves all issues efficiently
• Handles final designs for customer and licensor approval, whether outsourced or on own
• Manages licensed product inventory for bookstore customers such as Barnes & Noble
• Maintains filing and storage systems for all product categories
• Performs retouching and editing of graphics when necessary
• Creates sampling time/action calendar to meet all department/division milestones dates
• Monitors on time delivery of development samples
• Provides administrative support as needed (copying, filing, forms etc.)
• Continuously seeks process improvement opportunities
• Provides leadership to the licensing data entry employees by providing instruction, answering general questions, providing constructive feedback, and coaching employees
• Supports Manager of Licensed Sales in day to day responsibilities including customer support, sales rep servicing, financial analysis and gathering information
• Leads day-to-day communications with outside sales force to provide assistance with day to day issues, requests, onboarding and assist in conducting customer communication – P&L for independent bookstore reps co-owned with Manager of Licensed Sales
• Understands category landscape and product trends to identify new opportunities for business growth.
• Plays a supportive role in determining customer-solicitation, collateral design, and product assortment.
• Supports the execution of various licensing and business development/sales tactics
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years’ experience preferred with maintaining and designing for licensed brands
• Ability to grow into a supervisor role
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of ink-jet printing and sublimation helpful
• Interest in sports and collegiate athletics
• Experience with online content management and database structure helpful
• Results-oriented work ethic with strong attention to details
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate constructively with internal and external customers
• Display a high level of professionalism at all times
• Ability to work in a changing, fast paced environment is essential
• Maintain confidentiality of company information
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure all quotas are met
