Leadership Statesville 2024-2025 Class Announced
The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Advisory Board are pleased to announce the 2024-2025 Leadership Statesville cohort.
Leadership Statesville is dedicated to fostering and uniting the leadership community in Statesville and Iredell County. Our mission is to empower individuals through hands-on leader development, comprehensive education, and meaningful local connections. We strive to maximize the impact of our participants in their businesses, non-profits, and the broader community. By offering a program designed to enhance personal and professional growth, we facilitate connections to local, state and regional leadership resources. Moreover, we provide our alumni with avenues to leverage their unique strengths and talents for the betterment of our local area. Through this holistic approach, Leadership Statesville aims to create a network of dynamic leaders committed to driving positive change in our community and beyond.
Jon Madison, of Doug Madison Realty and Chair of the program, passionately declares, "Leadership Statesville stands as the pinnacle program for nurturing the leaders and community advocates imperative for Statesville and Iredell County. We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to the esteemed members of the Leadership Statesville cohort of 2024-25. As they embark on this transformative journey, our aim is to equip them with the tools and insights necessary to lead effectively within their respective spheres. We firmly believe that when leaders improve, the entire community thrives. So, let's embark on this collective journey toward growth and progress – together, we can make a lasting impact!"
Spanning nine months, our program facilitates monthly meetings for participants to delve into the intricacies of the region's government, educational system, economic development, service organizations, regional issues, leisure and culture, health services, and public safety. Throughout this comprehensive experience, class members gain valuable insights and practical knowledge essential for effective collaboration with volunteers and community groups. What sets our program apart is its distinctive focus on leadership training, providing participants with a unique and tailored approach unmatched by other leadership programs. This ensures that each individual not only acquires a holistic understanding of their community but also hones the specific leadership skills needed to make a meaningful impact.
In a strategic collaboration, Leadership Statesville has joined forces with Cool Spring Center for leadership development programming. As an integral part of each class day, participants can anticipate a valuable addition to their experience with two hours of specialized training provided by Charles Page. This partnership is designed to enrich the program, offering participants unique insights and practical tools that will contribute significantly to their leadership journey.
The first day of the program took place on Thursday, September 5th with a full day retreat at U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. They focus on growing team relationships, efficiency, and confidence through team building exercises.
Distinguished graduates of Leadership Statesville actively contribute to the community by occupying key positions on diverse Board of Directors throughout the community, playing pivotal roles in the ongoing development of our outstanding community. To extend the reach and impact of the program, an alumni program is currently in development, aiming to foster a network that transcends the initial program period. Alumni are enthusiastically encouraged to connect with the Chamber for more details on how they can be part of this expanding initiative and continue their meaningful contributions to the community.
The Leadership Statesville program would not be possible without our sponsor for 2024-25, Bobcat. The program is seeking class day sponsors, contact the Chamber for details.
