At Chamber Connection Networking Lunch this week:
Tuesday (18th) was our networking lunch help the 1st and 3rd Tue of the month.

Darla Corah of SVL Home Instead talked about a new service they are offering (I will confirm this name) Simply Caring, nonprofit, offers 3 hours of care a week for elderly or infirm individuals to get a little help or get out if they can't afford full time care.

Isaias Sanchez of SOW Media talked about the latest podcast they did for the Chamber, Boys and Girls of the Piedmont Program - Advocacy in Action episode 3. He is also teaching business owners how to do their own podcasting.

Dana White from the Statesville Womans Club shared that there are still geraniums left for sale and they are planning their Taste of Statesville for the Fall. They are looking for sponsors and caterers.

Savannah from ADP, is excited about becoming a member with SGCC. She is super enthusiastic and helped Brittany from the Alzheimers Organization create an opportunity to talk to our Mayor Kosti as he passed by our lunch venue, Pasta Amore. The Alzheimers Association (nonmember) is hosting their walk coming up in the Fall.

Patrick from Wave Entertainment Cornelius (do not link, not a member) connected with Roger Bejcek who is active with Iredell Performing Arts. It was also the 15th anniversary of Roger surviving his heart attack on top of a mountain which lead him to be a health coach and health motivational speaker.

Chamber Connection Networking Lunch is a perfect informal opportunity to meet other members like yourself, learn new techniques and tools to use both personal and professional, learn about your local chamber and just have a great lunch with great topics. For example, Joni Stone from the chamber taught everyone the right way to peel off a Post-it!!! Who knew.

It's free to attend for members (lunch is optional). Nonmembers are welcome to attend a few lunches to learn about GSCC.
