Iredell EDC Welcomes Sharon Barlow As New Communications Manager

Iredell Economic Development Corp. (Iredell EDC) is pleased to announce Sharon Barlow as communications manager. Ms. Barlow will serve as the primary contact for all marketing and communications efforts to support the Iredell EDC team.  She will be channeling her efforts to tell and amplify the stories of Iredell County through various media channels and by building relationships with our community partners, existing industries and investors.

 

Ms. Barlow brings diverse experience and skill set including sales and marketing, publishing, and project management.   She has worked with a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and education assisting them with creating and executing their marketing materials.  Ms. Barlow is creative and understands the importance of telling a story that is both informative and relatable.

About Sharon Barlow

Sharon Barlow, Communications Manager, comes to Iredell EDC most recently from creating and publishing a niche trade publication for the amusement industry.  Previously, she worked in commercial print sales where she assisted organizations achieve their marketing goals with the creation of attractive and effective collateral materials.  She also served as an account executive for Barnhardt, Walker, & Strickland where she earned her certified business communicator professional designation.  Ms. Barlow is a graduate of Wingate University with a bachelor’s degree in communications.  She is passionate about discovering the story behind the story and sharing it in a new and creative way.  A North Carolina native, Ms. Barlow resides in Kannapolis with her husband, Buddy, and she has three daughters, Alex, Brianna, and Caroline.
