Iredell Mooresville Campus Ready for Grand Opening Next Week

After construction, inspections, and tremendous preparation, Iredell Health System is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new facility, Iredell Mooresville. Located at 653 Bluefield Road in Mooresville, Iredell Mooresville will officially open its doors to the public on June 2.

The 68,000 square foot building broke ground in January 2020 and features the area’s only 24-hour urgent care, Iredell Urgent Care. Iredell Mooresville is also home to Iredell Imaging at Mooresville, Iredell Surgery at Mooresville, Iredell Rehab at Mooresville, Iredell Occupational Medicine, and a primary care practice, Family Care Center of Mooresville. Several specialists, including cardiology practices, will share the primary care practice space.

As a proud healthcare provider of the Iredell County community, the Mooresville expansion was an ideal fit.

“Iredell Health System is bringing the future of healthcare to the South Iredell region. This new facility demonstrates Iredell Health System’s commitment to providing access to comprehensive, high-quality health care services to residents across Iredell County,” said Tim Gee, Assistant Vice President of the Iredell Physician Network, overseeing the project.

After passing several building inspections, including zoning, fire marshal, and structural, among others, the new facility received its Certificate of Occupancy from the Town of Mooresville in early May. According to Scott Graham, Director of Engineering and Building Operations at Iredell Health System, this Certificate of Occupancy verifies that Iredell Mooresville is ready for patients next week.

“We are excited that even with all of the uncertainty and chaos surrounding this past year, we have been able to continue our Iredell Mooresville campus both on time and on budget. The opportunity to bring choice to south Iredell County, including cost-effective afterhours care and

an ambulatory surgery level of care, can be a true game changer for this part of our county,” said John Green, President & CEO of Iredell Health System.

To celebrate its grand opening, the public is invited to stop by the new Iredell Mooresville facility any Wednesday or Thursday in June between 11 am and 1 pm for a free gift and a chance to win a grand prize. The first 100 people to visit during this time will receive a free portable fan with power bank, and everyone will receive free sunscreen and lip balm. Everyone who stops by will also be entered to win one of several grand prizes donated by various local Mooresville businesses, a combined valued of over $4,500.

“We are very pleased to be able to continue to evolve as a locally owned and operated nonprofit healthcare organization, and to follow through on the original charter of our company to improve on the health and wellness of all citizens of Iredell County. We absolutely feel that this new campus will benefit the health needs of our community,” said Green.
